I urge you to reject H.R. 10186 which would prohibit individuals from using single-sex facilities on federal property that do not correspond to their biological sex assigned at birth. This discriminatory bill denies the basic dignity and rights of transgender and non-binary individuals. It promotes harmful prejudices and undermines principles of equality and inclusion that our nation should uphold. Every person deserves to access public facilities safely and without fear of harassment or discrimination based on their gender identity or expression. Passing this regressive legislation would be a tremendous step backwards for civil rights and human rights in our society. I implore you to stand against bigotry and intolerance by voting no on this misguided bill.
