His Project 2025 manifesto outlines an alarming agenda of empowering the President to overrule Congressional spending decisions, which would violate the constitutional separation of powers. Vought has explicitly stated his intent to "traumatize" federal workers and undermine agencies' ability to enforce regulations protecting public health and the environment for the benefit of polluting industries. Furthermore, the Trump administration has already taken illegal actions to freeze Congressionally-approved federal funding, with devastating consequences for Americans' jobs, businesses, and access to essential services.
