I am writing to express my deep concern and outrage over the actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and to urge you to stand up and speak out against the abuses being committed under its authority. The current state of affairs—where people are being kidnapped, denied due process, and detained in facilities that resemble concentration camps—is unacceptable and stains the very fabric of our nation. What kind of country are we becoming when due process is disregarded, and human rights are trampled without accountability? We are better than this. The inhumane treatment and unconstitutional detention practices must be halted immediately. Beyond the moral and legal imperatives to end these practices, it is important to understand that ICE’s mass, lawless deportations are also severely damaging our economy. The negative effects on communities and businesses are profound. Whether your motivations are grounded in human rights, constitutional law, or economic pragmatism, the call is the same: ICE must be reined in. I implore you to use your voice, your platform, and your power as my elected representative to push for oversight, accountability, and reform. We must dismantle these inhumane detention centers and ensure that all individuals are treated with dignity and afforded their constitutional rights. Please stand up, speak out, and act. Our nation’s soul and future depend on it.
