Don’t. Fund. Murder.
In the Ten Commandments, the KJV says, “Thou shalt not kill” (Exodus 20:13; Deuteronomy 5:17). In the original Hebrew it’s לֹא תִּרְצָח (lo tirtsach) - a prohibition on murder, meaning wrongful, unjustified killing.
If our federal law enforcement agencies kill people without necessity, without accountability, or without due process, that is not “public safety.” That is tirtsach under official cover.
I’m asking you to ensure federal funding is conditioned on concrete safeguards that prevent wrongful killings: strict use-of-force standards, de-escalation requirements, independent investigations of deaths, body-camera compliance, transparent reporting, and real consequences when lethal force is unjustified.
If we claim to honor the moral law, we can’t bankroll institutions that repeatedly cross the line into killing that the law - and God - condemns.
