Today is day 26 of the government shutdown. Still, you continue to fail your constituents. The lies that this administration continues to spew are despicable. This shutdown isn't about undocumented immigrants getting health care. It's about cutting health insurance for millions of low-income Americans. Why do you continue to support this lie? Every day the shutdown continues means families struggle to pay rent, buy groceries, and cover medical bills, while our national security and critical government operations are compromised. It is Congress’s responsibility to uphold its most basic duty—to fund the government—and it is shameful and unacceptable to continue to drag this out for political gain. The Republicans control the House and Senate, it is in your power to keep the government running. So do your job, find a compromise and pass the funding bill.
