As an American of Ukrainian heritage, I am outraged by President Trump and Vice President Vance’s appalling treatment of President Zelenskyy during their Oval Office meeting on February 28, 2025. Their hostility, public humiliation of Ukraine’s leader, and reckless accusations of “gambling with World War III” were not only disgraceful but a clear betrayal of U.S. commitments to democracy and global security.
Trump and Vance’s alignment with Russian interests is undeniable. Their actions directly jeopardize Ukraine’s fight for survival and undermine America’s standing as a defender of freedom. Their behavior led to a canceled minerals deal, a disrupted alliance, and an emboldened Kremlin. Meanwhile, European leaders swiftly reaffirmed their support—while our own president sought to dismantle it.
I urge you to:
1. Publicly condemn Trump and Vance’s conduct and reject their anti-Ukraine rhetoric.
2. Reaffirm and expand U.S. military, economic, and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
3. Demand the immediate removal of Trump and Vance from office for their blatant alignment with Russia and their endangerment of U.S. and global security.
This is not just about diplomacy—it’s about standing on the right side of history. Our leaders should defend democracy, not cower to autocrats. Anything less is a betrayal of American values and a direct threat to global stability.
