It really appears the Trump shutdown of the government was done on purpose so he can punish democrats and cause more damage to our economy. Since he , nor would republicans, even try to negotiate with democrats, Trump is joyfully talking about punishing democrats. Before the shutdown he said himself that a shutdown would allow him to do some very good things and get stuff done that the democrats wouldn’t like and that HE was ready to shut it down bc it was necessary. Meanwhile Americans are in distress, with a dysfunctional republican government, that is looking more and more like authoritarianism. Now Mike Johnson says the republicans don’t even need to go TRY to keep it open, yet y’all are still getting your paychecks. Enjoy your free time while Americans are stressed , worried and pissed off. I have a suspicion this shutdown was on purpose and I predict it is just a game and he will wait till the last minute to compromise, but in the meantime he is going to wreck the economy as much as he can, because that is his plan, to ruin our economy.
