I understand that Senate Republicans have put forth a budget resolution asking for 70B more for ICE and CBP (https://substack.com/redirect/19f44143-a047-4305-8758-0f429b2d6e26?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI). This is horrifying. These agencies are already wildly overfunded; meanwhile working Americans are dying—literally. We can’t afford our healthcare, utility bills, or groceries. But Congress wants to give more money to lawless and unpopular agencies? I oppose this with my entire being. Especially with no guardrails on ICE’s behavior. Vote no.
