An Open Letter

To: Sen. Budd, Rep. Harrigan, Sen. Tillis

From: A verified voter in Mooresville, NC

June 4

I come from a proud military family. My father was a dentist in the navy. My grandfather was also in the navy and was captain of a torpedoed ship during WW2. Speaking as a navy family with two gay family members, it is reprehensible and wrong to strip a ship of its commissioned name because the man was gay. This is being reported to happen with the USNS Harvey Milk. I am asking that you oppose this and register your opposition to the Secretary of Defense before it happens. I ask for your reply.
