The SAVE Act, which you and others have declared to be a top priority for this Congress, is nothing but a deliberate attempt to promote voter suppression. Many citizens don’t not have easy access to a birth certificate, 140 million citizens do not have passports. For women without passports who changed their name when they married, their birth certificate no longer matches their legal name. This Act would also severely inhibit voter registration efforts. I realize this is absolutely your intent, but I do hope you can reach deep within your soul and discover it still exists. Democracy works best if everyone has a voice.
