Hi, I am writing regarding the interception of U.S. citizens aboard the Flotillas heading to break the siege on Gaza. I want to inform you that U.S. citizens were intercepted by the Israeli military in international waters. You have at least one NOVA constituent among those in immediate danger, his name is Haitham Arafat. I am requesting your office to act immediately and publicly. Specifically, I demand you: Contact the relevant embassies and the State Department, to request full information on those detained and to ensure their safe and immediate release. Likewise, advocate for the immediate safety and release of all detained civilians. Issue a clear public statement addressing this interception in international waters. You should condemn Israel’s illegal abduction, and demand they issue NO further harm to any civilians. Demand accountability.
