I’m writing today because I’ve just seen that the state department has update its page to eliminate the T from LGBT. For example: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/worldwide-caution.html and https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/Intercountry-Adoption/Adoption-Process/before-you-adopt/LGB-adoption-resources.html . Transgender people do in fact exist and this erasure is echoed in the recent EOs regarding gender and trans people. As part of the queer community this is horrifying and dehumanizing.
