The American people grieve the loss of the historic east wing that President Trump unilaterally decided to tear down. The American people do not want to pay the billion dollars for the security enhancements for this ballroom that will overshadow the beautiful simplicity of the people’s house. Shame on you for trying to rush this through Congress. You are not meeting the needs of voters. You are not fulfilling your promises.
