Block Trump's $10 Billion Self-Dealing Lawsuit and Close This Loophole

I need you to act immediately to stop President Trump from suing his own government for $10 billion and to pass legislation preventing any sitting president from enriching themselves through lawsuits against agencies they control. Trump is currently suing the Treasury Department and IRS over his leaked tax returns, seeking at least $10 billion in taxpayer money. His own Attorney General, Pam Bondi, would defend the case, meaning Trump controls both sides of this litigation. No sitting president has ever sued their own government before. The Constitution's Emoluments Clause explicitly bars presidents from receiving compensation beyond their salary from the federal government, yet Trump is attempting exactly that. This isn't just about Trump. Preventing this lawsuit from succeeding will also block similar attempts by Michael Flynn, January 6 defendants, and other political allies seeking payouts from the Treasury. Legal experts warn that if Trump wins, it establishes "the unconstrained ability of whoever is the president to just take money from the Treasury" and creates "a complete free-for-all." Support the Wyden-Schumer legislation imposing a 100-percent tax on any settlement a sitting president wins from their own government. Push for the Justice Department to move for dismissal based on conflict of interest. This is flagrant self-dealing with taxpayer money, and it must be stopped now before it becomes precedent.
