I am writing in support of SB619. My 3 year old has severe asthma, and I am aware that the pollution from gas plants is particularly harmful for her and the other 660,000 Virginians with asthma, not to mention the myriad other health conditions it causes and exacerbates. I am also aware that these gas plants are being built to power data centers, and for a variety of reasons Virginia has the most data centers of any state or country in the world. It makes me regret my decision to choose to raise my family here. We must do something to limit the power consumption and related pollution of these data centers, and SB619 is a step in the right direction. Thank you!
