I’m horrified to be living in a country where there’s rampant gun violence. Horrified to watch a gunman break into the hotel where the White House Correspondent’s Dinner was going on. Horrified by any and all political violence. Horrified when the president uses the situation to blame and attack anyone who opposes him. We know what kind of irresponsible rhetoric we’ll hear from Donald Trump; we heard him loud and clear on 60 Minutes last night. We need common sense gun laws NOW. Responsible rhetoric NOW. A return to DECENCY now. America can’t wait. Our leaders need to rise to the moment. PLEASE rise to this moment.
