I'm a member of Indivisible Westside L.A. and your constituent, I’m calling to urge you to defend the rights of families to access medically necessary care — and to protect the ability of doctors, not politicians, to determine appropriate treatment for their patients. I ask you to safeguard the health and well-being of transgender and gender-diverse youth by voting NO on H.R. 3492. H.R. 3492 is an extreme, overreaching, and discriminatory bill that would block transgender and gender-diverse people from accessing safe, effective, and medically necessary healthcare. The care this bill seeks to criminalize is not what its sponsors claim; it is evidence-based, best-practice medical treatment supported by decades of research. I urge you to oppose H.R. 3492 loudly and publicly, and to thwart any effort to interfere with the private medical decisions families make with their healthcare providers.
