We have three co-equal branches of government. These branches are the checks and balances to each other. Guiding principles are written in our Constitution. While you may believe that your job is to rubber stamp all that Trump is doing, your actual job is to REPRESENT YOUR CONSTITUENTS. As your constituent, I write postcards, emails, send Resistbot petitions and make calls to your offices (if I’m lucky, someone picks up the phone in your office). I am tired of asking to do your job, I am now demanding that you do your job. This administration is lawless. Trump signs executive orders to undermine our democracy, and that is unconscionable. We have rules and laws that must be adhered to, in order to maintain a civil society. It’s WE THE PEOPLE, not we the millionaires and billionaires. Our social safety nets are in jeopardy of being dismantled, cut, and/or eliminated so that millionaires and billionaires can enjoy permanent tax cuts and continue to buy political influence and politicians. A functional democracy ceases to exist when the executive seizes control of government and you, as our elected people, do nothing. The weaponization of government is currently in full swing. Trump seeks retribution for all perceived slights, and is on some narcissistic power trip. None of you seem able to explain what DOGE is actually doing. Claiming that DOGE is finding “waste, fraud and abuse” is a catchy phrase, but FACTS STILL MATTER. Not once have the numbers been accurate, yet you repeat them. This is not tolerable, Congress must halt this fascist agenda. Trump was impeached TWICE before, for abusing his power. He has openly ignored a 9-0 SCOTUS decision. Hate never made any country great. Due process is guaranteed to EVERY PERSON in our country. It’s looking like Nazi Germany and Victor Orban’s illiberal democracy out here in the real world. People are protesting and you’re not listening. By the way, we are NOT BEING PAID, THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE. As members of Congress, it is your DUTY to uphold your oath of office, quit making excuses! DONE
