Bipartisan Congressional Oversight of DOGE Activities and Fund Allocation
To: Rep. Crank
From: A verified voter in Monument, CO
March 6
I am writing to express my concern regarding recent reports of potential misuse of authority and the targeting of federal employees at agencies such as USAID and the EPA. According to credible sources, employees are being threatened with criminal charges simply for carrying out their duties and allocating funds as directed by Congress. This includes alarming claims that essential programs, such as cancer funding, are being falsely labeled as "fraud."
As your constituent, I urge you to support bipartisan efforts to ensure proper congressional oversight of the activities of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and other relevant agencies. Congress has a constitutional responsibility to oversee the allocation and use of funds appropriated through the federal budget. It is unacceptable for federal employees to be targeted for simply doing their jobs, especially when their actions align with congressional directives.
I respectfully request that you:
1 Support a thorough, bipartisan investigation into these allegations to ensure that federal employees are not being unjustly targeted for political reasons.
2 Work to strengthen bipartisan oversight mechanisms to prevent the misuse of authority and ensure accountability in the allocation of funds.
3 Consider legislative action, if necessary, to protect federal employees from politically motivated prosecutions and to uphold the integrity of congressional appropriations.
The American people deserve transparency and accountability from their government. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and work across the aisle to address these concerning developments in a fair and nonpartisan manner.
Thank you for your attention to this important issue. I look forward to your response and to hearing about the steps you will take to address this matter.
