I'm writing about the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. GAO report GAO-26-106918 (released June 26, 2026) found the SPR's operational capability is at risk from aging infrastructure, and confirmed Congress still hasn't set a target reserve size — something GAO first recommended in 2018 (GAO-18-477). Please support GAO's recommendation that Congress mandate a timeline for DOE to complete a long-term SPR plan and finally establish a target size, and let me know what steps you're taking before the August recess. Thank you.
