Stop the overreach of our Executive branch

To: Rep. Miller-Meeks, Sen. Ernst, Sen. Grassley

From: A constituent in Iowa City, IA

February 10, 2025

I am writing today with concern regarding JD Vance’s public comment that “Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power,” which highlights the continued overreach of the executive branch. As a citizen, I care about upholding our constitutional system of checks and balances. The persistent denial of this overreach (including Senator Grassley’s outright denial of DOGE’s access to sensitive financial information - claiming it is “categorically false” despite multiple reputable news sources confirming said access) undermines this system. Accountability is needed - now. We are long past the point of following party lines. Do what is right for Iowans, and our country - take action NOW to stop this unchecked power.
