Vibrant, free media are hallmarks of free societies. Stop the attacks on public media. Gutting these bedrock institutions that guarantee our first amendment rights is problematic everywhere, but the damage will be especially harmful in rural areas where public broadcasting stations rely on federal support for upwards of 50% of their budget. Stop gutting these vital information sources and fight back against the rescissions package that would pull back more than $1 billion already pledged to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Freedom isn’t free, as our public media ensure.
