Ending DEI Means Legalizing Segregation

To: Sen. Tillis, Rep. McDowell, Sen. Budd

From: A verified voter in Greensboro, NC

February 7

With the combined efforts of President Trump’s EO recalling DEI, Attorney General Pam Bondi’s initiative to open suits on organizations and companies who chose to keep their DEI policy in place, and the defunding of all grants, research, and programs that have been used to address inequality, it is clear that this administration is trying to implement segregation. This is unconstitutional and un-American. Not only is this a completely racist and unhinged far-right objective, but it was also outlined in Project 2025, which President Trump renounced and you all distanced yourselves from. Not only does it not represent the interests or rights of your constituents, who are diverse, and, PS, 50% are women, who are also considered “DEI”, it is your responsibility to protect their rights, jobs, and opportunities. The witch hunt allowing any disgruntled white supremacist to report a minority to the federal government to be fired is absolutely segregation. I ask that each of my representatives do everything in their power to actually serve and protect the people they represent and support bills, lawsuits, or any measures to stop the administration’s attempt to segregate America.
