According to the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), 694 NIH grants were terminated across 24 of the 26 institutes and center between the end of February and the start of April. The cumulative funding cut is $1.81 billion. This will hamper scientific advances and will result in a “brain drain” of our talent.  These cuts will set science (and our well-being) behind by decades.
