I am disgusted that 10 Democrats, including one from the Washington delegation, voted with Republicans to censure Rep. Green today. Why on earth are Democrats siding with the party throwing our government into a wood chipper over a member of their own party that bravely stood up for the American people and people around the world who may and will die because of Republican actions? I am calling on you, as a senior member of the Democrats in the House to help the party grow a spine and realize that decorum matters less than speaking truth to power. Be assertive in opposing Trump’s agenda, take risks, make a scene, and get the attention of the American people. We must protect the American way of life, the millions of federal workers and hundreds of millions that rely on federal programs, and the whole of the American economy. That is the job you were elected to do. We didn’t elect congress members to sit in chairs and look decorous.
