I am begging you to approve the release of emergency funding for SNAP benefits and other programs for Americans who are experiencing food insecurity. Regardless of the reason for the government shutdown, we can hopefully all agree that nobody deserves to go hungry. The idea of millions of Americans suffering due to political games is unconscionable. Starvation is a torture tactic of active, violent warfare. Please be on the right side of this and release funding to feed the children and families of our country.
