Victor Orban/Fidesz's dismantling of Hungary's democracy was a model for Republicans and the MAGA movement here in the US. Orban used the executive power to control the courts, the media, and gerrymandering to control voting and corruptly enrich himself and his band of thieves. Tisza, the opposition party, took 2 years of hard work to bring about an electoral upheaval, throwing Orban and the Fidesz Party out. Voter participation was huge, and because the margin of victory was likewise large, Orban could not contest his loss, and Tisza's supermajority in Parliament would enable them to make structural changes. Lastly, Ukraine will receive the EU aid it needs under this new leadership.
