I am writing as your constituent to express my strong opposition to what former President Trump is calling his “Big Beautiful Bill.” While it may be branded with flair, the substance of the legislation raises serious concerns for me as a citizen who values democracy, integrity, and responsible governance.
This bill appears to prioritize political theater over real solutions. Whether it’s attempting to rewrite immigration policy in extreme ways, sidestepping environmental protections, or weakening oversight and checks and balances, the legislation seems more about consolidating power than addressing the needs of the American people. I worry that it will erode the foundational values of fairness, accountability, and inclusion.
I do not support policies that are driven by personality or propaganda. We need thoughtful, bipartisan solutions that serve the public good—not bills designed to polarize or punish. Our nation faces serious challenges—economic inequality, threats to our democratic institutions, climate change, and education gaps—that require real leadership, not slogans or strongman tactics.
As your constituent, I urge you to vote against this bill and speak out publicly about its consequences. Please stand up for policies that respect the Constitution, protect human rights, and reflect the true values of service and country over politics and spectacle.
Thank you for your time and for your commitment to representing the voices of all of us in your state.
