The Chief Justice is playing a dangerous game with this latest shadow docket ruling on deportations to third countries - denying due process without so much as an explanation is a far greater threat to the Judiciary than the President’s calls for impeachment of judges. Without the rule of law, what role will the Judiciary have? The Roberts Court must rectify this decision at the first opportunity to rule on the merits of the case. And for the love of Catholic God, don’t mess around with birthright citizenship.
