An Open Letter

To: Sen. Budd, Sen. Tillis

From: A constituent in Raleigh, NC

March 19

The American people expect you to vote against the SAVE Act. The SAVE Act is attempting to solve a problem that does not exist. Non-citizens living in the United States already do not vote. And if any slipped through the system, the amount is 0.0001% of votes. Stop trying to create a crisis out of nothing. We have the right to free and fair elections. The SAVE Act is voter suppression. The SAVE Act is a poll tax. Mail-in voting is secure. Non-citizens already do not vote. We already show an I.D. to vote. The United States Social Security database already knows if we are citizens or not. There is literally no need for the SAVE Act, other than the Republicans' trying to sow doubt into our election process and rigging the election so they "win". Do you not realize the SAVE Act will negatively affect Republican voters every bit as much as Democratic and Independent voters? Please stop the theatrics. Vote no on the SAVE Act.
