As an American who grew up in the latter years of the 70s and throughout the 80s, doing drills in school in case of a Nuclear War with Russia, I was appalled by the bullying of President Zelensky by Trump and Vance in the Oval Office. And yes, Trump and Vance because neither deserve the titles that they have right now. They made our constitutional republic look weak by being crass and ill-mannered. I really want to know what you think about this display of utter disrespect toward an ally. Since they took power, our world standing has suffered. They’re trying to isolate us, leaving the way wide open for Russia and China to fill our shoes in the world stage. That is unacceptable. I still must hear from you about the disgusting way that Elon Musk has been mining our data, but I do hope that you are as appalled as me and many of your constituents watching Trump and Vance ridicule and try to bully President Zelensky. The fact that this administration has been siding with Russia, China, and North Korea is worrying. They repeated the bold face lie that Russia has been disseminating trying to justify being the aggressor, by saying Ukraine attacked first. We all know Russia is the aggressor in this situation, and it’s utterly disgusting that the person who occupies the office of the president is spreading that lie. As Americans we’ve always prided ourselves in helping the world and helping countries keep their democracy intact, but it seems that our politicians aren’t ready to remind Trump and Vance of what it means to be an American. I just hope that you’ll be on the right side of history. And I can tell you right now, supporting Trump, and the way he’s betraying our allies, is not the right side of history. The US cannot lose its standing in the world. Please remember that we do not have kings in America, we should have a president who has morals and values, and more than anything is a leader. Seeing the way our allies reacted to the buffoonery in the Oval Office, left an extremely bitter taste in my mouth. We’re being ridiculed and humiliated because of the actions of two uncouth people. As Americans we must show the world, that we are the leaders, and that we will do what is necessary to uphold the values stated in our constitution by our Founding Fathers. Remember that we ARE leaders, not followers.
