I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your leadership in standing up against corruption, federal overreach, and attacks on our democracy. At a time when many elected officials are staying silent or enabling dangerous policies, you have been a strong voice for Connecticut’s values and our constitutional rights. As we witness unprecedented attempts to undermine democratic institutions, suppress voting rights, and erode public trust in government, it is more important than ever for leaders at the state level to hold the line against corruption and authoritarian overreach. I appreciate your efforts to protect our state’s autonomy, whether in defending public education from federal interference, safeguarding reproductive rights, or standing firm against policies that threaten our environment and economy. I also want to take a moment to commend Attorney General William Tong for his tireless efforts to push back against federal corruption and abuses of power. His work in holding bad actors accountable, defending consumer protections, and standing up for Connecticut’s citizens against harmful policies has been invaluable. His leadership, alongside yours, reassures me that our state is in good hands. I urge you to continue using your office to resist harmful federal actions, to hold bad actors accountable, and to ensure that Connecticut remains a beacon of integrity, fairness, and progress. Please do not waver in calling out corruption when you see it, and know that your constituents support your efforts to keep our state on the right side of history. Thank you again for your courage, integrity, and commitment to the people of Connecticut. We need leaders like you and Attorney General Tong now more than ever.
