Protect the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). Scientists who study climate, weather and other earth sciences have decried the move, first reported by USA Today, as “taking a sledgehammer” to an “iconic” center dedicated to studying our planet. The loss of this facility and these scientists will have irreparable costs today and to our future. The data, discovery, and innovation that occurs here should not be underestimated. We cannot afford further brain drain in this country. Stop these attacks on science.
