I’m writing because I’m worried about the misuse of the H-2A program. The administration has decreased wages for workers hired under the program and allowed uncapped growth. These changes threaten the jobs of local workers and increase the likelihood of human rights abuses of guest workers. Please champion the U.S. Farmworker Protection Act (H.R. 7541), which will cap the number of H-2A visas at 400,000 annually, helping to protect local jobs and curb human rights violations.
