It has come to my attention that the house Judiciary Committee just passed a bill, voted for unanimously by republicans, that would allow the government to deport US citizens. I'm not really sure where you would deport US citizens to, but it concerns me that not only have they restricted due process for immigrants they are now proposing to restrict due process for American citizens, both of which are highly unconstitutional. Please assure me that you will not support this bill, and that you will continue to protect the rights of every person residing in the US under the US Constitution. If they are here illegally, they should have due process, and it should not be that hard to prove that an MS-13 gang member is an MS-13 gang member.
I, and many other Americans, are very concerned about the current administration's repeated attempts to undermine the Constitution: eliminating birthright citizenship, actively ignoring court orders, uniting state and religion, stating plans to use the military internally against citizens and legal residents, "deportong" immigrants following the law when they show up for the next step to citizenship, refusing entry or imprisoning visitors to our country if their social media indicates that they do not support Trump. and threatening the press if they "insult" the President. You swore an oath to the Constitution. I certainly hope loyalty to a person doesn't outweigh your oath of office. To paraphrase what my MAGA friends say, "If your love/fear of one man is greater than your love for this country, you are the problem."
