The United States of America does not have kings. No one is above the law.
To: Sen. Lee, Sen. Curtis, Rep. Moore
From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT

The foundations of our nation reject authoritarianism and dictatorship. The United States was established as a republic, with no monarchs or rulers unbound by the law. Yet we find ourselves confronting a disturbing erosion of democratic norms and an insidious rise of fascist tendencies. It is imperative that we take a firm stand to uphold the principles upon which this country was built – equality, freedom, and the rule of law applying to all, including our leaders. Each of us must play our part in resisting the encroachment of tyranny and safeguarding the liberties that define the American experiment. History will judge our actions in this pivotal moment. Let us rise to defend the ideals of our democracy against those who would subjugate it to their own power and agenda. The future of our republic depends on our collective resolve.
