Support H.R. 1219 – Oral Health Products Inclusion Act

To: Rep. Sherrill

From: A verified voter in Boonton, NJ

July 6

I’m writing to ask you to cosponsor and champion H.R. 1219, the Oral Health Products Inclusion Act. By allowing over-the-counter toothbrushes, toothpaste, water flossers, mouthwash, and similar preventive oral-care items to be eligible expenses under HSAs, FSAs, HRAs, and Archer MSAs, this commonsense measure will help families in our district afford the basic dental supplies they need to stay healthy. Good oral hygiene isn’t a luxury—it’s essential medicine. Yet today many hardworking New Jerseyans skip routine brushing and flossing because preventive products aren’t covered by their tax-advantaged health accounts. Expanding HSA/FSA eligibility will reduce cavities and gum disease, lower long-term dental costs, and alleviate the burden on our health system. Please join Representatives Van Drew and Crow in cosponsoring H.R. 1219 in the Ways and Means Committee, and lend your voice to ensuring this bipartisan bill advances swiftly. Your support will make a real difference for families struggling to keep up with everyday health expenses. Thank you for your leadership, and for standing up for affordable, preventive care in New Jersey and beyond.
