An Open Letter

To: Sen. Ernst, Sen. Grassley

From: A verified voter in Iowa City, IA

April 2

Please oppose the SAVE act. It will disenfranchise millions of eligible voters, including women who have changed their names due to marriage. It creates an undue burden to bring multiple sensitive documents to polling places with no clear purpose. Our elections already have several layers of security, and every study about fraudulent voting has shown this “problem “ to be virtually nonexistent, not affecting any election in the country. Please let the states move forward with their current election procedures, do not disenfranchise your constituents, and get back to focusing on the real issues facing the country. Oppose the SAVE act. Thank you.
