This government shutdown is hurting families. Affordable care act Provisions that make Healthcare affordable for many MUST be extended. By allowing the executive branch pocket recission power, and allowing the executive branch to shutter entire agencies, congress has ceded its contitutional power of the purse. This has utterly eroded trust in the budget process. Work together with democrats by extending aca provisions immediately, and reopen the government. This American experiment does not work with a supreme executive branch. Re-assert your constitutional powers, and do not be a doormat for the executive branch. If you do not, expect democrats to do the same when they hold the executive, you will have no leg to stand on.
