Oppose the border wall expansion and stop waiving the environmental laws that protect our borderlands. The wall doesn't just divide two countries — it tears through some of the most biodiverse habitat in North America, threatening 93 federally protected species including jaguars, ocelots, and Sonoran pronghorns. Over 2 million acres of designated critical habitat sit within 50 miles of the border. The REAL ID Act has been used to waive more than 50 environmental, public-health, and Tribal-sovereignty laws — stripping away every safeguard that exists for a reason. The Center for Biological Diversity's research shows that 1,800 stadium lights along the border alone are causing severe light pollution across conservation lands. New construction in Arizona is now threatening jaguar corridors. This is irreversible damage being done without any environmental review. The wall has also failed on its own terms. More than 10,000 people have died crossing the border over the past 20 years — a direct result of a deliberate strategy that pushed migrants into remote, deadly terrain. This is not border security. It's an ecological and humanitarian catastrophe. Fight to restore environmental review requirements and block further wall construction.
