The big bloated budget bill that passed the Senate will be devastating for millions of Americans, including the hard working Americans of Southwest Virginia. Cuts to Medicaid, which seniors in nursing homes depend on for care, will lead to the closing of nursing homes and will put needy seniors on the street. The expiration of ACA subsidies will lead even more seniors, retirees, and entrepreneurs to lose their health care at the end of this year. There are many things wrong with this bill, but to take away healthcare to our nation's most vulnerable citizens, many of whom have worked for and fought for this country's freedom, is cruel and unconscionable. The president is not your boss, the people of Southwest Virginia are. For once, please make a decision to benefits your constituents and not an overgrown manchild who has never had to accept responsibility for anything.
