Fight for education! Stop the dismantling of the Education Department!

To: Rep. Wilson, Sen. Scott, Sen. Graham

From: A verified voter in North Augusta, SC

June 24

I am deeply outraged over this administration’s dismantling of the Department of Education and its vital programs and workforce. What I expect from my Senators and House Representative- 1. Oppose the transfer of education programs to other agencies that will not sufficiently enforce laws and protections for students. 2. Forcefully push back against the proposal to reclassify certain professional degrees and limit student loans to receive them. 3. Conduct oversight into the administration’s unconstitutional dismantling of a federal agency without congressional action or approval. 4. Refuse to pass any federal funding bill that enables this administration’s drastic cuts to vital education programs and protections for students. It is galling to see the attacks this administration is perpetrating against public education. Such attacks are also supremely self-defeating for our nation. A strong educational infrastructure is at the core of national success. It is time for you to fight for the future of our children, our state, and our country!
