Representative Owens, Donald Trump has now openly called for silencing anyone who speaks against him. He made this statement aboard Air Force One. That is a chilling attack on the First Amendment—the very freedom you swore an oath to defend. Your responsibility is not to a man, but to the Constitution. Our rights exist precisely to protect Americans from leaders who would attempt to muzzle dissent. History teaches us where silence in the face of such rhetoric leads, and it is nowhere America should ever go. I urge you to stand publicly against this dangerous statement. To remain silent is to be complicit. Please uphold your oath, your office, and the freedoms of every Utahn you represent. Sincerely,
