Vote NO to wolf delisting rider in FY27 Interior Appropriations bill

To: Rep. McClain Delaney

From: A constituent in Germantown, MD

May 26

Please oppose any wolf delisting rider in the FY27 Interior Appropriations bill. House Republicans have added a rider to the FY27 Interior Appropriations bill that would reinstate the Trump administration’s 2020 gray wolf delisting rule under the Endangered Species Act. The bill would also prohibit judicial review, meaning scientists, tribes, conservation organizations, and the public would not even be allowed to challenge the decision in court. If passed, gray wolves across much of the United States could lose federal protections again, opening the door to expanded trophy hunting, trapping, and aggressive lethal management in states that already have histories of extreme wolf killing policies. Wildlife policy should be guided by science, ecological recovery, and coexistence, not political riders hidden inside spending bills. Please oppose any wolf delisting rider in the FY27 Interior Appropriations bill
