The Ohio Senate is considering a bill named for CharKirk that would teach the “positive influence of religion” in public school history classes.
House Bill 486, the Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act, was approved by the Ohio House in November and is now under consideration in the state Senate.
The bill encourages public school teachers to remember they can incorporate the positive impacts of religion, particularly Christianity, lawfully.
That is not only unconstitutional, it’s the opposite of what Kirk stood for. His behavior was totally different from Christ’s teaching. Kirk was hateful, prejudiced, and misogynistic.
This bill goes against the principles of Americans and Ohioans.
Please do not pass this awful bill.
