I urge you to support a clean extension of the Affordable Care Act premium tax credits and to oppose any bill that includes abortion or gender affirming care restrictions. Over four million Americans currently rely on ACA plans for affordable health insurance, and premiums are projected to increase by 75% starting in January 2026 if these tax credits expire at the end of this year. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that 4.2 million people will lose coverage by 2034 without renewal of these credits. Congress must act immediately to protect affordable healthcare access for millions of Americans before costs skyrocket and financially devastate families across our state and nation. The public overwhelmingly supports extending these subsidies—this should not be a partisan issue when people’s health and financial security are at stake. I strongly urge you to: • Support a clean 3-year extension of ACA premium tax credits • Oppose any Republican proposal that weaponizes healthcare by attaching restrictions on abortion or gender affirming care • Act before the end of 2025 to prevent catastrophic premium increases Healthcare is a fundamental human need.
