I strongly oppose Republicans’ reconciliation bill that gives 70B more to ICE and CBP. In just the last few days we’ve learned about allegations of rampant sexual abuse by CBP officers (https://substack.com/redirect/e75223ed-3127-469d-99b3-495882826f0d?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI), over 100,000 family separations of US children from their immigrant parents (https://substack.com/redirect/2d813137-a91a-4b5f-b413-b873ced5ef2c?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI), and a hunger strike at Adelanto (https://substack.com/redirect/9159d404-ef86-4314-8690-bac3025d8c1d?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI) due to inhumane conditions. It goes on and on. These agencies are broken, abusive, and dangerous. Any vote to fund them is a vote for cruelty, lawlessness and brutality. Please vote NO and continue to be vocal.
