I am a mother of two school-age children, a teacher, and a proud member of my community in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I simply wanted to say thank you for working so hard and collaboratively with the legislature to pass the budget bill. In the face of a nation increasingly divided and making decisions based on "sides", I saw this as a decision made based on what is best for the people of Wisconsin. Thank you for doing your job, consistently and well, and for knowing when collaboration and compromise and part of the bigger picture that your citizens need.
