J. D. Vance, Jared Kushner, and Steve Witkoff, none of whom are trained diplomats or negotiators, have unsurprisingly failed to achieve anything in Iran. They have also given up way earlier than experienced negotiators would. Trump is now threatening a naval blockade, which far exceeds the executive war time powers and should require congressional approval. I beg of you, do not give that approval. Iran is going to end up with more power and money than they had before Trump backed out of the nuclear treaty, and we are already deeply in the wrong in this war. We've murdered children, we've deliberately targeted civilian structures, and our President has openly threatened genocide. Do not let Trump escalate this war. Demand he seek congressional approval then deny it- the world needs calm, economic stability, and peace. Deescalate this war and send actual trained negotiators to speak with Iran to bring this conflict to an end. History is going to judge you harshly, if you care. It appears you don’t.
