Opposition to Proposed Triumph Arch Funding

To: Sen. Kaine, Sen. Warner, Rep. Wittman

From: A constituent in Ashland, VA

April 15

I am writing as a constituent to express my opposition to the proposed construction of the “Triumph Arch” in Washington, D.C. At a time when many Americans are struggling with rising costs and economic uncertainty, I strongly believe that our tax dollars should be directed toward programs that have a meaningful and immediate impact on people’s lives. Investments in accessible healthcare, quality education, and food security would provide far greater benefits to our communities than funding a large symbolic monument. While I understand the value of national symbols, I do not believe this project reflects the most pressing needs of the American people. Many families continue to face barriers to medical care, underfunded schools, and difficulty affording basic necessities. These are areas where federal resources could make a real difference. I urge you to oppose any legislation or funding that supports the construction of the Triumph Arch and instead prioritize policies and investments that improve the well-being of Americans across the country. Thank you for your time and consideration. I would appreciate hearing your position on this matter.
